How do I apply?

Complete your application and lease online by visiting the Floor Plans page, selecting your unit, and clicking the, "Apply Now" button.

Can grants, scholarships, student loans, or financial aid be applied towards rent?
Yes. You may use financial aid proceeds to pay for off campus housing or any other third party payments. Typically financial aid proceeds are dispersed directly to the student who in turn can then use those proceeds to pay for housing. For your convenience, Lions Gate offers payment plans to match when your financial aid is dispersed. Contact the office today for more details.
Do you have any apartments available?

Please complete a guest card online (by clicking “Contact Us”) or contact the leasing office today! Based on our limited availability and high demand, it is a good idea to contact us as soon as possible.

To start the process, you’ll need to apply online and sign your lease agreement. All applications and leases are reviewed in the order they are received.

What background information is verified through the application process?

A background check is run on the applicant and a credit check will be performed on the guarantor.

How are the units rented?

We offer both private and shared bedroom options. You will be assigned to an applicable space based on the preferences you provided during your leasing process.

Do I need to have roommates picked in advance to apply?

You are not required to have roommates in order to sign a lease. If you do not request a roommate, management will complete the assignment process based on information you provided. However, you are able to provide roommate requests and management will attempt to place you with your requested roommate.

How many people are permitted to live in one bedroom?

We offer both single and double occupancy in our bedrooms. This will be finalized during your leasing process based on your preference.

Are the apartments co-ed?

The units may be occupied co-ed if you select your own roommates. Should you apply individually, we will place you with residents of the same gender.

May I have a guest(s) stay in my unit?

Yes, you are permitted to have guest stay overnight. See your lease and community guidelines for the guest policies. All overnight guests will be required to register at the leasing office.

What is the utility allowance?

All utilities other than electricity are included in your monthly installments. Included in the monthly installment is an allotment of $30.00 per month per bed space for electricity. Residents will be responsible any amounts greater than $30.00 per bed space.

What does my rent include?

Our pricing includes a fully furnished apartment, cable TV package with HBO, High Speed internet service, WIFI through-out, individually controlled heating and air conditioning in each bedroom, and a utility allowance. Additionally, your monthly installment includes use of the clubhouse, resort style pool, and other common amenities.

What type of furniture is included?

The living room includes a sofa, love seat, coffee table, end table, and a 46” flat screen TV. Inside of the kitchen, in addition to the appliances, we include a dining room table and chairs. For your bedroom, we include a full size bed frame and mattress, four dresser-like drawers (located underneath the bed), as well as a desk and chair.

Is a washer/dryer included?

Yes, each unit includes a stackable washer and dryer. There is no additional cost for the use of the washer/dryer.

Are there Community Assistants?

There are Community Assistant staff members that are onsite, who work with the management team to provide you with the best living experience possible. In addition, Lions Gate has a Resident Director, who is responsible for all resident interaction and assistance.

Will I have a private bathroom?

We offer both private and shared bathroom options. You will be assigned to an applicable space based on the preferences you provided during your leasing process.

What kitchen appliances are included?

Each kitchen has a 17 cubic foot refrigerator with top freezer, 30” electric range with oven, microwave, and dishwasher. You will need to supply your own small appliances such as toaster, coffee maker, and dishware.

What amenities are included in the clubhouse?

Lions Gate has a resort style swimming pool with hot tub to match! Around the pool area are three fire-pits and plenty of seating. Our 7,500 square foot clubhouse features a 60” big screen TV, pool table, state-of-the-art fitness center, spin room and free tanning beds. It also includes a business center with both PCs and Mac’s, free WIFI, and a copier/printer with free printing. Outside the clubhouse, we have an outdoor BBQ patio with grills, tables, and bike racks. The clubhouse is also utilized as for onsite management and maintenance. We host regularly scheduled events in the clubhouse, so make sure you come out and meet new friends!

Is there shuttle access to campus?

Yes, Lions gate offers a private shuttle service for our residents that runs to campus daily and there is also a late night service to downtown on Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights until 3am.

When do I move in?

While typical move-ins occur in mid to late August, we are able to provide immediate move-ins as well! Whether you are looking to move in now or at a later time, contact our office and our leasing staff will be able to assist you.

Do I have to leave my unit during any school recesses?

No, units are open for your use during your entire lease period.

Is there a fee for parking?

At this time, there is no fee for parking.

May I paint the walls inside of my apartment?

Painting is not permitted. When decorating, please note that at the end of the lease, you are responsible for any holes or marks on the wall.

Do I need to bring my own bedding or window treatments?

We provide a full bed frame and full mattress. Examples of items that you will need to provide include a mattress pad, sheets, blankets, comforters, pillows and bed spread. Every unit will include mini-blinds on each window and you may add window treatments if you desire, but the blinds must stay in place.

What if I need to break the lease agreement early?

Lions Gate offers residents the ability to release their apartment to a replacement resident. The current resident is responsible for locating a replacement and paying a replacement fee. For more details regarding our policy and fees due, please contact our management office.

What happens if something is stolen or damaged in the unit?

Residents are required to carry a renter’s policy. This can be purchased through a third-party insurer or typically can be added to parent’s home owner’s policy. This is a very easy process and we have information at our clubhouse if needed.

Will there be functions and events at Lions Gate? Is it easy to meet people in the building?

Yes! Lions Gate has full time Community Assistants (CAs) who work and live on site. Our CAs plan and host events offered to all residents. Our programs include social events, physical fitness programs, personal awareness, outside the classroom assistance, and much more! Keep an eye on our Events page for more information.
